Mais do que isso, o composto agora descoberto conseguiu reverter a descolora\u00e7\u00e3o da pele ocasionada pelo vitiligo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Karin Schallreuter e seus colegas da Universidade Arndt (Alemanha) divulgaram a descoberta do composto, chamado pseudocatalase, na revista cient\u00edfica The FASEB Journal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Segundo os pesquisadores, o embranquecimento dos cabelos \u00e9 precedido por um estresse oxidativo maci\u00e7o nos fol\u00edculos, que resulta no ac\u00famulo de per\u00f3xido de hidrog\u00eanio na raiz do cabelo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Cabelos brancos s\u00e3o de fato sinal de estresse, dizem cientistas<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\"> <strong>Cura para cabelos brancos e vitiligo<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\" data-mce-mark=\"1\">Essa acumula\u00e7\u00e3o de per\u00f3xido de hidrog\u00eanio foi revertida com o uso de um composto t\u00f3pico, aplicado localmente, ativado pelos raios ultravioleta B (UVB). O composto, chamado PC-KUS, uma pseudocatalase modificada, j\u00e1 foi patenteado e dever\u00e1 ser comercializado em breve.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Os testes mostraram que o mesmo tratamento funcionou para alguns tipos de vitiligo &#8211; uma condi\u00e7\u00e3o marcada por uma descolora\u00e7\u00e3o da pele.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">&#8220;Durante gera\u00e7\u00f5es, muitos rem\u00e9dios t\u00eam tentado esconder os cabelos brancos. Agora, pela primeira vez, um tratamento real que age na raiz do problema foi desenvolvido,&#8221; comentou o Dr. Gerald Weissmann, editor da revista cient\u00edfica que publicou o artigo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">&#8220;Mesmo sendo uma not\u00edcia espetacular, o que \u00e9 ainda mais interessante \u00e9 que o tratamento tamb\u00e9m funciona para o vitiligo. Esta condi\u00e7\u00e3o, embora tecnicamente seja apenas est\u00e9tica, pode ter graves efeitos socioemocionais para as pessoas.
