Os dois vivem no pal\u00e1cio deca\u00eddo de um amigo de Gerace que acumulou dinheiro e detestava todas as mulheres. Pai e filho desprezam a retra\u00edda popula\u00e7\u00e3o da ilha \u2013 onde as mulheres se cobrem inteiramente de preto \u2013 e admiram apenas os ocupantes de uma pris\u00e3o instalada numa eleva\u00e7\u00e3o de Procida.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A seguran\u00e7a de Arturo, para quem a solid\u00e3o parecia um \u201cestado natural\u201d, \u00e9 abalada pela chegada da nova esposa do pai, apenas dois anos mais velha do que ele. Sentimentos violentos e confusos come\u00e7am a aflorar. Acostumado a um pai valente e \u00e0s vezes cruel, Arturo \u00e9 levado a conviver com uma adolescente de natureza doce e submissa que d\u00e1 \u00e0 luz um meio-irm\u00e3o.
